| Position Description: |
Immediate opening for a Principal Software Engineer who will perform
development and enhancements of high performance financial
market data distribution platform and applications.
|
| Primary Responsibilities: |
The primary role for this position will be for developing and
improving existing C/C++/Java financial applications to meet changing
business requirements. Specific assignments may include application
design and implementation of new features, bug fixes, testing, maintenance and support.
|
| Qualifications: |
- Advanced knowledge of application design principles, practices, system development and analysis.
- Thorough understanding of the sofware development life cycle.
- BS in Computer Science or related degree strongly desired. Graduate degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in C and C++ with minimum 6 years programming experience.
- Multi-platform (Unix/Linux and Windows) programming experience.
- Experience in developing multi-threaded applications and familiarity with Java/.Net/Microsoft development tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial data applications is desirable.
- Must have a very strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills.
