Stringbeans 3.0 released

Nabh is pleased to announce the release of Stringbeans 3.0 final release. This major release introduces Nabh's Web services platform, and support for Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP) standard.

Stringbeans feature set now includes:

  • Support for JSR-168 portlet standard
  • Web services platform with a powerful interception/filter framework for facilitating Aspect-Oriented development of SOAP-based Web services
  • Interceptors for Web service authentication, access control, and access logging
  • Implementation of WSRP service description, markup, registration, and portlet management services.
  • WSRP portlet proxy for accessing WSRP producer-hosted portlets
  • Portlets for Web service and WSRP administration
  • Bridges to Java Server faces and Struts
  • Dynamic generation of portal views based on user identity, roles, and relationships
  • Portlets for quickly creating presentations from relational databases and XML data sources
  • Several portlets providing out of the box functionality including FAQ, Survey, RSS headlines reader, RSS news publishing, and Forum
